Round 5 MMA figures

If you are interested in the world of Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) like me, then you'll probably know some household names like Randy "The Natural" Couture, "Rampage" Jackson and Matt Hughes who at some point, dominated their division in UFC. I don't feel that Titi Ortiz was a great champion at any point but at least he was an exciting fighter.

What suprise when Round 5, enlists the help of McFarlane artist David Cortes more famous for his Hellboy, Spawn and Incredible Hulk creations.

The Figures

Each figure stands at 6 inches tall with 4 or more points of articulation. All are perfectly sculpted for their individual signature poses. Minor details like the muscle contour and shape have been suited to the fighter, even the little words on the pants or tatoo designs on their bodies.

Series 1 consists of Randy "The Natural" Couture, "Rampage" Jackson, Matt Hughes and Tito "The Huntington Bad Boy" Ortiz, all with amazing detail and sculpt.

I've been waiting for a day something like this would come out and be affordable.

Series 2 is also out and will likely be a hot seller when Christmas arrives, 'cause I'm getting one! It will consist of current Middleweight champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva, Rich "Ace" Franklin, Sean "The Muscle Shark" Sherk and Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva.

If your interested to know more check out this site round5mma.com for more details on where to buy. I'm going to place my order soon for Christmas!

It's my 23rd birthday..

Well well what do you know, I turn 23 this year. 23 seems to be a number that likes to appear, especially if you watch the Number 23.

Somehow I don't really feel it, or maybe it hasn't kicked in yet, but this years birthday just seems like just another day. It could be due to the fact I haven't accomplished all that I set out to do yet. How time flies and another year is gone, kinda makes me wonder what I have done with life.

Anyway here are some long overdue pictures.

Top: My brother and I on The Contender set looking strangely surprised

Bottom: Setting up the bags and rings

Ah yes I forgot to mention that filming has been wrapped up and we are all under clause and cannot speak of any details about any of the fights. All I can say is there were some nice fights and boxer's really going the distance out there, so if it airs here in Singapore, please do not miss it.

Like Father Like Son

Ronald Hearns throws a left hook

His name is Ronald Hearns, heir to the "Hitman" himself Thomas Hearns. And if he is anything like his father, then the world will see another great champion of this era.

Blessed with his father's long limbs and power punch, not much has daunted him in his current light middleweight career. He christened himself "The Choosen One" to step out of his old man's shadow and show the world what he can do.
With a current record of 20-0-0(16KO), its a shame to see not much coverage or big events to his name. That's an impressive record if age didn't matter. The problem is he's 29, because he started late as his father wanted him to pursue a degree first. A boxer with brains? It seems so.
And like father like son, he learned the ropes of boxing fast, pumelling his fellow rookie opponents. At 6'3, he's taller than most light middle weights and a boxer with good reach too. All I can say is watch out for this guy.

Father and son, Thomas and Ronald.
